Guests will stay in a charming country house blending traditional features with the modern comforts Each room is a peaceful sanctuary ensuring a restful night’s sleep in the quietness of the countryside.

Our retreat will have instructors qualified in various styles of yoga that can guide you through whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner wishing to deepen your skills our sessions will be tailored to every level and personal goals.  From energising morning flows to restorative evening sessions, our wellness program will have something for everyone, including meditation and workshops to choose from.

Location

The small village of Tayinloan is situated in The Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. The Kintyre Peninsula is situated on the gulf stream therefor is lucky to have one of the best climates in Scotland surprising visitors from around the globe who come for other activities such as sailing, golf and cycling.

​

InXhale Scotland retreat is held at a large country house with 5 acres of gardens enjoying views across The Sound of Jura to the Isles of Gigha, Islay and Jura. There are lots of lovely spots to sit both inside and outside the house to enable relaxation and me time.

​

The yoga shala is well equipped and heated for the more relaxing types of yoga, we also have patio doors to let the wonderful fresh Scottish air flow through on the summer evenings. The shala is situated near the house with views of the countryside to fill your heart with gladness and gratitude.

​

There are lots of wonderful walks where you can chill under a tree, sit on a swing and watch the local wild life going about their daily business. We are also near a fabulous beach for swimming, bobbing, paddling, picnicking and meditation.

Travel arrangements

Car hire and bus to Tayinloan is available from Glasgow or we can arrange transport to the retreat at a minimal cost to the participants.  Contact us direct to make arrangements and we will assist all we can.

What's Included

Itinerary

7:30 AM – Morning yoga session including Pranayama and Meditation

Start the day with a yoga session to energise the body, pranayama and meditation to awaken the body and connect to the senses.

9:00 AM – Healthy Breakfast

A delicious and healthy meal with fresh fruit, whole grains, yogurt, juice, tea & coffee

10:30 AM – Workshop or lecture

Participate in a workshop in mindfulness, Iyurveda or Yogic Philosophy.

11:30 AM – Free time

Time to relax, take a walk-in nature, journal or take advantage of the retreat facilities for some me time. (relax in the garden or in one of the secluded spaces inside the house).

12:30 PM – Light lunch

A light healthy meal of soup, healthy wraps and sandwiches.

2:00 PM – Trip to Beach/Boat trip to Gigha

Take a trip to the wonderful Westport Beach with miles of white sand where you can walk or have a dip in the sea.

​

Take the ferry to the Isle of Gigha where we visit the Botanical Gardens and see the wonders of the tropical plants from around the world, they are able to grow because of the micro climate and the Gulf Stream.

6:00 PM – Yin Yoga/Restorative Yoga

A gentle, restorative yoga focusing on deep stretches and relaxation.

7:30 PM – Dinner

A wholesome, nutritious and tasty meal that will nourish and rejuvenate.

9:00 PM – Evening Meditation

Experience wonderful meditation around the firepit under the stars or candle gazing in one of the cosy spaces inside the house.

10:00 PM - Personal time, reflective journaling

Spend time journaling the day’s experiences or relaxing before bed.

The itinerary can be adjusted to suit when free time and excursions will take place.  There will be a selection of tea, coffee, flavoured water, scones and cakes available for your enjoyment.
