A Bit About Me
Since I was a teenager, I have had a passion for fitness, health and well being. I attended many weekly
fitness classes but never practiced Yoga.
In 2013, I took my first foray into fitness education by participating in the "Move Not Lose It" course. This program was designed for individuals who did not exercise regularly, aiming to motivate and assist them in regaining fitness and wellness. It marked my initial attempt at aiding others in improving both their physical and mental well-being. Unfortunately, I never took this venture any further as I was so busy with work, home life.
The moment I became interested in yoga happened during a vacation to Goa in February 2016. While there, I noticed a sign for Rama Yoga at 8:30am in a Shala and decided to give it a try. After sleeping on it, I attended the class the next day and instantly became enamored with it.
When I returned to Greenock, there were no classes available, so I stopped attending them and again my focus was on working, and I returned to fitness classes.
In the following years, I returned to India and resumed practicing yoga at the Shala. Upon returning home, I discovered more classes in Greenock and started to develop a passion for it. A friend from my yoga class mentioned attending Yoga teacher training, which I found intriguing. However, the pandemic prevented me from pursuing it. Meanwhile, my friend successfully completed the training and began teaching. In 2023, I enrolled in my first course primarily to enhance my practice and deepen my understanding of yoga. Initially, I had no intention of teaching, but here I am now, teaching yoga and never looking back.

"I immediately knew that yoga was my passion when I discovered it."
Teaching is an amazing experience for me and provides a sense of fulfillment in assisting others. It is rewarding to see individuals taking time for themselves and escaping from their problems. Teaching also involves serving the community, interacting with students and colleagues, promoting health and wellness, and having a continuous learning journey.
The most recent experience involved completing a 500 hour teacher training program.
"I made a firm decision that this is what I want to pursue in my life."
Continuous learning and spreading awareness about the advantages of yoga for both yourself and the broader community is essential for personal growth. Health and well-being, Feeling of direction and meaning.

I look forward to meeting you in class......
